These special coin banks are made in Pertunmaa Kuortti, Finland, and are classic examples of 1970s Finnish design.
Originally produced for Nordea Bank, they were intended as gifts when a child opened their first bank account. A true bank, each bear comes with its own key to help keep your money safe.
Basel can be used as a moneybox or a cute decoration element. Bear has a slot on the back for coins and it can be emptied through the bottom covered opening.
Basel is made from a very nice speckled cream injection moulded plastic. Made from food approved, BPA-free material.
